And instead of developing solutions that seemed to take the series on a new course – LEGO Batman 3 returns to the worn-out HUB theme, from which we can get to a handful of smaller, closed locations. Nothing has changed in this topic for over 10 LEGO games and not only is it constantly teasing and irritating, but also simply annoying in the world – everything has its limits. Blocking characters on destructible LEGO elements is the order of the day here, the camera (especially in co-op) goes crazy more than usual, and jumps and measuring them, if they were not, are not easy to perform. Everything else, unfortunately, also remains solid underdeveloped, which should be fixed after so many games in the series. The music stops with the last defeated opponent. More dynamic rhythms can add variety to the fight, but the spell breaks out right after the fight is over. Original musical inserts are a nice addition, but what about the fact that apart from known motifs nothing else is catchy.

The atmosphere is shared, and yes, but mainly due to excellent voice acting (including Troy Baker, Nolan North, Kevin Smith) and music associated with classic films with the Bat in the lead role. In the later stages, the situation improves due to the change in the location of the game, but then it is hard to blur the bitter aftertaste of the first half of the position.

Unfortunately – later it gets only worse and the game throws the player into the same, illusion-like missions and locations. The beginning of the game is optimistic – the first mission encourages production, presenting the main characters in a nice, atmospheric place in a good way. Unfortunately, this is one of the few novelties in the game, which also takes a solid step back, abandoning, among others an open world known from many previous LEGO games or an interesting system of tutorials presented in The Hobbit. Not only Batman and Robin, but also many other characters can use more than just rigidly assigned powers. The core of the game is based on the skills that characters can now use in the form of gadgets and change them on the fly depending on the situation.

As for a title that is not based on any particular movie or comic book and in which the writers had a wide range of possibilities to show off – the plot not only does not encourage the game in any way, but is only an excuse to throw players in places where they should be drummed, as usual with the help of the abilities of specific characters, the tasks set for us. In the face of the overwhelming forces of evil, Batman, Superman and the rest of the gang must temporarily bury the battle ax with the Joker, Lex Luthor and the rest of the villains. The sinister Brainiac deceptively takes control of the Lanterns and sets himself the goal of taking over the Earth.
